Be Mine!

February 14, 2010

I celebrate Valentine’s day.  Not necessarily with an expensive dinner, chocolate and jewels, but we definitely celebrate it.  Refusing to celebrate because it is commercialized is more cliche than the the holiday itself!

Today our plans are super low key, because celebrating yesterday and Friday was more convenient.  Friday T treated us to dinner at my favorite sushi restaurant.  Delicious!  Yesterday we went to Bergamot Station (a bunch of art galleries next to each other — free to visit!) then I treated us to a surprise painting date!  There is a cute little art place that serves wine, cheese, and champagne then sets you up with an easel and paint.  Perhaps photos of our masterpieces later if T allows.  He did a lot of art in the past and I knew he’d really like painting.  His painting is super good!  Art is not one of my talents, but I went along with it and had fun.

I saw this cute sign at Lululemon in Santa Monica this weekend and couldn’t resist snapping a photo.  (I also went inside to check out their sale section — it was the smallest sale section I’ve ever seen in a store!) Happy Valentine’s to all of you out there, single or taken!

I love that sign – what better way to remind us all to grab on to life and not let go?
